Privacy Policy
Effective August 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Tipsy Tapper ("Tipsy Tapper," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when venue operators, staff, guests, and website visitors use our websites and services. Venue operators may also have their own privacy practices for information they collect through their locations.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Guest order and service-request information, such as first name, requested items, notes, venue, service point, and fulfillment choice.
- Optional account information, such as name, mobile number, password hash, favorites, and order history.
- Optional text-notification information, including mobile number, consent wording, consent time, source, and opt-out status.
- Venue and staff information, such as business name, contact details, user credentials, menus, service points, and configuration.
- Website inquiry information, such as name, venue, email, optional phone number, city, state, venue type, and message.
Information collected automatically
We may collect IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, service-point token, session identifiers, page activity, security events, and diagnostic logs. We use this information to operate the service, maintain sessions, prevent duplicate requests and abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
2. How we use information
We use information to provide order and service-request workflows; identify the correct venue and service point; operate guest, staff, manager, and platform accounts; send requested transactional notifications; respond to inquiries; secure and improve the service; comply with legal obligations; and enforce our agreements.
3. Mobile information and messaging consent
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-messaging opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Providing a phone number through the website inquiry form does not enroll you in promotional text messages. When an order or account flow separately offers text notifications, participation is optional and the consent choice is not preselected. We use mobile information only for the specific transactional purpose described at opt-in, such as an order-ready notice or a one-time security code.
Message frequency varies based on your activity and choices. Message and data rates may apply. You may reply STOP to stop applicable messages and HELP for help. We retain evidence of consent and honor supported opt-out requests.
4. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to the venue responsible for the guest request; service providers that help us host, secure, monitor, and communicate through the service; professional advisers; law enforcement or regulators when legally required; and a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. Providers receive only the information reasonably needed to perform services for us and may not use mobile opt-in information for their own marketing.
5. Cookies and local storage
Tipsy Tapper uses necessary cookies and browser storage for authentication, guest sessions, security, cart continuity, and preferences. We do not currently use those technologies to sell personal information or run third-party behavioral advertising.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, support venue records, maintain security and audit history, document messaging consent, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type and venue requirements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect their credentials and notify us of suspected unauthorized access.
8. Your choices
You may use guest ordering without creating an account, decline optional text notifications, reply STOP to applicable messages, update available account preferences, and contact us to ask about your information. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate business, security, or legal reasons.
9. Children
Tipsy Tapper is not directed to children under 13. Alcohol-related requests are always subject to venue policy, staff approval, and valid identification; the service does not replace age verification.
10. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information. You may contact us to make a request. We may verify your identity and retain information where permitted or required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date.
